Funny, memorable family stories
Lately I've noticed a few more or less funny things that I always post quite succinctly on Mastodon. But hey, I thought, let's save this for the longer term.
As a result, I'll update this post every now and then if something funny pops up again.
1. The cyclist
We were traveling by car, following a cyclist. He swung his leg over the back of his bike, rode a little further with both legs on one side and then got off. (Very elegant in my opinion.)
My wife then said:
"Typical. Old men do that."
I explained to her that I've been doing that since I started cycling.
She then said
"that she had never noticed that before. Her father does that too."
I'm officially old now. π§
2. Approaching interest
I gave a larger workshop in the morning and my older daughter knew that.
When she came home from school, the appointment was over. The following then happened.
She asked me directly:
"Hi Dad, how did your appointment go this morning?"
I was extremely pleased that she showed an interest in me and my work, so I started to strike out.
"Great, I showed our intranet solution, we then discussed how..."
Suddenly I see the end of her ponytail swinging around the corner with the words
"I'm upstairs playing, bye bye!"
