100% working Last.fm scrobbling for Apple Music on iPhone & Windows

What a weird use case! However, now that I have found a 100% working solution, I would like to share it with you.

Apple Music is not as easy to scrobble on Last.fm as for example Spotify, for which there is a direct interface. So you need additional tools for the Apple music service.

iOS / iPhone solution

The best working app for my iPhone (tested with iPhone 12 & iPhone 16 Pro, both with iOS 18 (beta and final) upwards) is QuietScrob.

In my tests, it was the only app that reliably scrobbled music from my Apple Music library as well as music (not in the library) streamed from Apple Music, regardless of whether the QuietScrob app was running in the background or not. Even songs played several times in a row (continuous loop) were scrobbled reliably, which some other apps were unable to do.

Important, as stated in the app's FAQ:

A small note: To be able to use the app indefinitely, a small fee is due at some point. When I made the one-off purchase, it cost around 4 EUR/dollar. Worth every penny!

Windows solution

I am currently using Windows 11 in the latest updated version on 2 laptops. The following app works perfectly on both of them.

The Apple Music app from the Windows Store should be installed. Install the tool AMWin-RP so that the tracks played in Apple Music are reliably scrobbled.

You can download the file to be executed here.

As soon as the software is installed, you must activate scrobbling for Last.fm in the settings and enter your access data and API data.

The GitHub page says the following:

Important is: You must be online. Tracks played offline will not be scrobbled.
